How well do you remember Heung-Min Son's time with Spurs? - The Lilywhites signed Son from which Bundesliga side?

The Independent reporter spoke about many issues but spent a little bit of time on current Spurs boss.

Here is what Delaney said about Mourinho and what he told Levy:

“Let’s not forget as well, especially in the context of the last week and all the same old rubbish we’ve heard about mentality: when he got that job, he [Mourinho] was telling Levy that barely any surgery was needed; this was a team that with just a little bit of work, could win a title – and that’s what he told the players as well.”

It seems as if Mourinho told Levy and the squad that he could win them a Premier League title with just a few tweaks.

Has this surprised you?

No, Mourinho would have said anything to get the job

TIF Thoughts…

This is an interesting revelation from Delaney.

Considering that Tottenham are in ninth place, 43 points away from leaders Liverpool, they have a long way to go before they are anywhere near a title challenge.

It is intriguing that Mourinho is thought to have told Levy and the squad that they could challenge for a title, and considering under Pochettino, they once finished second and twice claimed third place in the Premier League, that doesn’t seem too far beyond the realms of possibility.

However, at the moment, they are a long way off, and it might require more than just a little bit of surgery to make Spurs title challengers.
