After @HotspurRelated shared this transfer news via a tweet, some Tottenham supporters flocked to this post to share their thoughts on the prospect of Castagne joining the Lilywhites.

One Spurs supporter replied to this tweet to share that they believe signing Castagne would be ‘a great upgrade at full-back’ for Tottenham, while another Tottenham fan replied to this post to share that they believe the Belgian would be perfect for the way Spurs play.

However, some Tottenham fans responded negatively to this tweet, with one Spurs fan revealing that they believe there are ‘much better players on the market’ than Castagne.

Would Castagne be a good signing for Spurs?

Castagne has featured in a variety of different positions throughout his career, including both full-back positions and both sides of the midfield. With that in mind, it may be understandable why some Tottenham supporters replied to this tweet to discuss the player’s versatility.

However, Castagne has accumulated fewer Serie A minutes than 12 other Atalanta players this term and he has also missed a total of 60 days due to injury during the 2019/20 campaign, according to Transfermarkt. With that in mind, it may also be understandable why some Spurs fans were reluctant to get too excited about their club being linked with the Belgian.
