Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been reacting to the latest social media post from the north London club.
This comes after the official Spurs Twitter account shared a post on their page that contained a video of several Spurs players wearing the new Nike kits for the 2020/21 season in between clips of them in action for the club during the 2019/20 campaign.
The page captioned this post with the phrase: “New season. Fresh look.” Included in the post was a link to the club’s online store that had the new kits in stock, which are priced at £70.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Spurs fans, who were quick to share their responses to this latest announcement from the club.
Here’s a sample of Spurs fans responding to the post:
New season. Fresh look.

£70 for a t shirt. C’mon guys that is ludicrous. A country ravaged by people losing pay, losing jobs and you want us fans to pay £70 for a t-shirt
I don’t think so— Al M (@Mr_Als1985) July 30, 2020
You could have called it Raise Your Price. £70?!!
— Sam Barnden (@sambo1385) July 30, 2020
Jose Mourinho’s side finished in sixth place in the 2019/20 Premier League season on 59 points after winning 16 of their 38 league matches, drawing 11 and losing 11 during the campaign (per BBC Sport).
70 quid for a shirt. #Raisetheprice

Now that the club have officially announced their new home and away kits for next season and revealed the prices for them, this sparked a huge reaction from Spurs fans, who were not impressed with how much the club are charging for the shirts.
Just been online to buy a shirt for me and my 8 year old. £125… think I’ll leave it this season.
— Ben Holmes (@BenRev1) July 30, 2020
Would you spend £70 on the new Spurs kit?
Yes
No
£70 quid for a home kit – absolute rip off!! I thought after seeing that footy is nothing without the fans over the last couple of Months, I was hoping we might actually get something at a affordable price & then i remembered Daniel Levy is in charge!

Half the country out of work and we’re looking £100 for a T-shirt? Shameful. I guess this is the first season I won’t be wearing the new home kit.
— Paddy Higgins (@HigginsPaddy) July 30, 2020
It appears that these Spurs fans are not best pleased by the fact that they would have to spend £70 if they want to buy their new club kit for the upcoming season.
This set price for the kit could be as a result of the impact that the current global pandemic has had on Nike and their online sales in recent months.
