Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest social media post from the north London club. 

This comes after the official Spurs Twitter account shared a post on their page that contained a video of Eric Dier signing his new contract extension that will now see him remain at the club until 2024.

The black and white dramatised video shows Dier signing his contract before leaning towards the camera.

The post was captioned with ‘2024’ spelt out in number emojis.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Spurs fans who were not shy in letting their feelings on this latest update from the club known.

The Englishman, who is currently valued at £18 million according to Transfermarkt, first signed to Tottenham back in 2014 from Sporting Lisbon for a fee of £4.5 million.

Since then, Dier has gone on to make a total of 239 appearances for the Lilywhites in which he has managed to score 11 goals and provide 11 assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).

Now that this post from the club has been doing the rounds on Twitter, it quickly grabbed the attention of a lot of Spurs fans who were not shy in sharing their reactions at having Dier remain at the club for some more years.

However, there were some fans responding to the post who were not as excited as others were about this new contract extension for Dier.

It appears that the majority of these Spurs fans are quite pleased by the fact that Dier has pledged his future to the club, which is nice to see.

However, it seems that there are some Spurs fans who are not fully convinced that giving Dier a contract extension is a good move by the club.
