Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting angrily to the news that the Premier League has admitted they made the wrong decision with regards to Spurs’ penalty call against Bournemouth on Thursday evening.
According to BBC presenter Dan Walker (via Daily Hotspur), the Premier League’s match centre has admitted that officials made a series of incorrect calls during each of Thursday’s top-flight fixtures and that the Lilywhites should have been awarded a penalty against Bournemouth for a foul on Harry Kane. As can be seen in the footage shared by Daily Hotspur, the England striker clearly takes a shove in the back from Joshua King, which perhaps prevented him from getting his head on a corner.
Although Spurs played awfully against the relegation-threatened Cherries – failing to register a shot on target in the game – you feel that this was a huge moment in the game, and that if Spurs had taken the lead, then Eddie Howe’s side would perhaps have crumbled, as they have done in most of their games since the restart.
Should VAR be scrapped?
Yes
No

It makes me cry why they can’t get this decided then and there. I genuinely wanna cry

Actually? That’s not good enough at this level. Who makes the mistake? It can’t be just one person. How does the mistake happen? It’s not black or white. This is a penalty. Simple. Ridiculous.

Spurs fans were clearly fuming with the news, as can be seen in their replies.

Football is finished. The whole thing is rotten to the core. There are no excuses for getting the decision wrong. Its blatantly obvious there is something not right when it comes to making these decisions. Certain Clubs benefit from getting penalties regular during the season.

These Spurs fans are clearly far from happy with the news and feel that changes need to be made so that VAR can be implemented properly.
