Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the reported interest in Schalke centre-back Ozan Kabak.
According to Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur (via The Spurs Web), the north London club are in official talks with the Bundesliga side over the defender’s potential transfer.
Schalke are currently experiencing financial difficulties, so it is perhaps no surprise to hear that they may be forced to sell the 20-year-old this summer.
In the most recent Bundesliga season, the Turkish international made 26 appearances in the German top-flight, averaging a solid 6.85 rating for David Wagner’s side (per WhoScored).
With Spurs set to lose Jan Vertonghen at the end of the season, when his contract expires, you could argue that they are in need of defensive reinforcements this summer, so perhaps we will see the £26.1 million-rated man join up with Jose Mourinho’s squad in the upcoming window.
Would Kabak be a good signing for Spurs?

He would be a dream. Quick and powerful. Passing range similar to Toby. Would love to see Toby nurture him through.
