Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the latest reported update on Southampton midfielder and Spurs transfer target Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
According to Sky Sports (via Daily Hotspur), the north London club are edging closer to completing a deal for the Danish international, despite serious interest from Everton. The report suggests that the Saints value the former Bayern Munich man at £25 million, although there are also discussions over a transfer that would see Kyle Walker-Peters, who spent time on loan with Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side this season, head the other way.
With the transfer window now officially open, the Lilywhites look favourites to complete the signing of the 24-year-old midfielder ahead of next season, with Sky Sports also suggesting that although Everton have bid for him, he has his heart set on a move to Spurs. Hojbjerg made 33 top-flight appearances for Southampton last season; contributing no goals and one assist, although he did average a fairly solid 6.83 rating (per Whoscored).

Better than Winks & Sissoko so it’s a start

We’re not getting him so chill out. I’d be surprised if we sign anyone that isn’t a youth player.

This won’t happen
