Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to some footage showing five of Gareth Bale’s best goals for the north London club.
To celebrate his birthday, Spurs’ official Twitter account shared some footage of some of the Welsh international’s best efforts in a Tottenham shirt, which has delighted a lot of Lilywhites supporters. The winger made 203 appearances for Spurs in his time with the club, contributing an impressive 56 goals and 58 assists (per Transfermarkt).
This subsequently attracted the attention of Real Madrid, who signed him in an £85 million world-record deal back in 2013 (per BBC). In his time with Los Blancos, the 31-year-old has gone on to win the Champions League an astonishing four times, also contributing 105 goals and 68 assists in 251 appearances (per Transfermarkt).

Lots of Spurs fans suggested that it is time to bring the £28.8 million rated man back to North London. The Welshman has reportedly fallen out with Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane and risked a rift with the fans of the La Liga club when he unveiled an unusual banner following Wales’ Euro 2020 qualification last year, that read: ‘Wales. Golf. Real Madrid. In that order’ (per BBC).
