Supporters of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a transfer report detailing Jose Mourinho’s budget for the summer window.
According to a ‘transfer window preview’ that was posted by ESPN, the Portuguese manager will have £50-£60m to spend in the summer.
The report went on to state that Mourinho is ‘still looking to get a few players’ and that he will be provided with funds to seal some arrivals.
Despite the supposed £50-60m budget that the 57-year-old manager has to spend, the former Manchester United boss has already stated that Spurs have an ‘important nucleus of players’ (per Evening Standard).
Lots of Spurs fans aired their thoughts on ESPN’s report when it was shared to social media by The Spurs Web.

In early May, it was stated that the north London outfit would be relying on free transfers and swap deals in the summer (per Evening Standard), however, it appears that ESPN believes otherwise.
How many players do you believe Spurs need to sign in the summer?

Since his appointment as Spurs’ manager in November, Tottenham have forked out £59.85m on signing three players (per Transfermarkt).
Those three signings were Steven Bergwijn from PSV Eindhoven, sealing the permanent switch of Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis and a loan fee to get Gedson Fernandes on loan from SL Benfica.
That’s not the budget of a “big” club

As can be seen in these responses from Spurs fans, there was clearly a mixed reaction over how much Mourinho would supposedly have to spend; with some believing that it was a decent amount and others that it was not enough.
