Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest transfer news surrounding Spurs player Ryan Sessegnon.
This comes after Spurs news Twitter account @thespursweb shared a post on their page relaying news originally published in a report by Sky Sports.
The report claims that Spanish club Barcelona have ‘inquired into the availability’ of Sessegnon ‘having been big admirers of him since his days at Fulham’.
The report from Sky Sports also adds that Barcelona’s interest in the player ‘extends back more than two years, since Barca scouts were in the stands at Wembley to watch him in the 2018 Championship play-off final’.
Later on in the report, they claim that Barcelona have “let that admiration be known in discussions, via intermediaries, over potential swap deals between the clubs this summer.”

The 20-year-old, who is currently valued at £28.35 million according to Transfermarkt, first signed for Tottenham back in 2019 for a fee of £24.3 million from Fulham (per Transfermarkt).
Since then, the Englishman has gone on to make 12 appearances for Jose Mourinho’s side in which he has managed to score one goal and provide one assist along the way.

Looking at these replies from this post on Sessegnon, it appears that the majority of these Spurs fans would be happy to see Sessegnon leave the club this summer if they were able to get a Barcelona player in return for him.
