Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest news surrounding Spurs winger Ryan Sessegnon.
This comes after Spurs news Twitter account @Daily_Hotspur shared a post on their page relaying news originally published in a report by the Daily Telegraph on the 20-year-old.
The report claimed that Tottenham are “understood to rate Sessegnon highly and have faith in his ability, but there is an acceptance that he needs more minutes if he is to continue to develop as a player.”
The report also added that the club could look to send Sessegnon on a loan move away from the London club to further his development. However, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy would “want guarantees that Sessegnon would be given plenty of game time. He is also unlikely to allow Sessegnon to play for a side that could be considered a rival to Tottenham.”
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Spurs fans who were quick to share their thoughts on this latest news.
Here’s a sample of Spurs fans responding to the post:
#thfc have high hopes for Ryan Sessegnon but accept he may need to be sent out on loan to get game time. | @TelegraphSport

noooo rotation needed

The Englishman signed to Spurs in August 2019 from Fulham for a fee of £24.3 million (per Transfermarkt).
He needs first team minutes

This is concerning to me for a guy that the team paid €30 million for, think it’s pretty clear to see that he has now been passed by Cirkin as well on the depth chart
— Giuseppe Alberto (@Giuseppeberto7) July 7, 2020
Since then, the 20-year-old has only made 12 appearances for Jose Mourinho’s side across all competitions so far this season (per Transfermarkt).

What an absolute shambles!!!!!!!! £30 some of that could of been used for Dybalas image rights or towards the Fernandes fee rather than quibbling over a couple of million!!!!!
I hope the lad comes good but come on https://t.co/MQv26M8no1

OR… you know, just play him maybe?

Now that it has been reported that Spurs could be looking to send Sessegnon, who is currently valued at £28.35 million according to Transfermarkt, out on loan next season to get some game time, this sparked a big debate on Twitter.
Would you send Ryan Sessegnon out on loan next season?
Yes, it would do him good
No, he needs to stay
However, there were some Spurs fans responding to the post who were quite keen to see Sessegnon make a loan move away next season.
Hopefully on loan for whole of next season. Doing him no good not making any minutes

100% has to be loaned out next season to see how he does, he must go to a team lower in the table
— Kieren Flanagan (@KierenFlanagan) July 7, 2020
It appears that the majority of these Spurs fans believe Sessegnon should be given a chance to earn his place instead of being sent out on loan somewhere next season.
This shows that those Spurs fans have the confidence and belief that he can prove himself in this team.
