Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been reacting to the latest comments from Harry Redknapp.
This comes after Spurs news Twitter account @thespursweb shared a post on their page relaying comments made by the former Spurs manager to TalkSPORT, where he claimed the club ‘have gone backwards a million miles’ in regards to how their current season has developed.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Spurs fans, who were quick to share their thoughts on Redknapp’s assessment of the current state the club are in.
Here’s a sample of Spurs fans responding to the post:
Harry Redknapp:
"Tottenham have gone backwards a million miles."
"You look at where they are now to where they were a couple of years ago, when Kyle Walker and Danny Rose were in form at full-back and Christian Eriksen was in great form, Mousa Dembele with him in midfield." pic.twitter.com/tVLPleG72i

That’s a fair assessment. Levy refused to bring in new players yearly in an attempt to add depth and competition to the squad.

Redknapp took over as Spurs manager back in 2008, spending just under four years at the club, in which he took charge of 198 matches (per Transfermarkt).
After their recent 3-1 defeat to Sheffield United in midweek, Spurs currently sit in 9th place in the Premier League table on 45 points with just six games left to play until the end of the season.
We know, and are powerless to do anything about it.

Hate how true this is.

Now that these comments from Redknapp have been doing the rounds on Twitter, this sparked a big reaction with lots of Spurs fans responding with their thoughts on the situation.
Some Spurs fans were quick to point the finger of blame at chairman Daniel Levy for Spurs’ misgivings this season.
He is not wrong here, but the Levy fanboys will tell me that its a process we must trust and that the future is bright! it was bright 3 seasons ago, now its not

Have Spurs gone backwards this season?
Yes
No
Redknapp would fix most of the issues at Spurs very quickly https://t.co/5XQ5FeCK8T

Fancy you job back Harry??

Whereas, one Spurs fans suggested that Jose Mourinho was to blame instead.
The players are good enough, change the manager!

It appears that the majority of these Spurs fans believe that what Redknapp is saying is true and that they have regressed in recent years.
The best hope for these fans now would be that Spurs can finish the season as high up the Premier League table as they can then have a refocus as a group for next season.
