A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to Twitter to rip into Nabil Bentaleb after his latest display for Newcastle in the Toon’s 0-0 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion.
The 25-year-old, who is valued at £3.6m by Transfermarkt, played his 14th match since joining the Toon on loan, and in that time, it is clear he has not impressed many Newcastle fans, as it seems as if this latest display was another poor effort from the former Tottenham Hotspur man in the eyes of the Toon faithful.
Bentaleb loan deal should not be made permanent…Been very disappointed with his performances since he joined…As for the match itself, the less said about that 90mins of football the better ?

Can we please just take Bentaleb off. Don’t even bother replacing him, and make sure he’s never in another NUFC squad…

Bentaleb may be the worst player in the squad

Cannot wait to see the back of Bentaleb. Horrendous footballer

Bentaleb is a no from me #NUFC

Bentaleb joined the Toon on loan from Schalke in January, and he has turned in a pretty woeful average rating of 6.49 in his Premier League displays, as per WhoScored.
Do you want to sign Bentaleb in the summer?
No
Yes
This puts him in 18th place in the Newcastle squad, and what is arguably worse is that he has only taken 0.4 shots and made just 0.7 key passes per game.
With statistics like these, it is no wonder he has failed to score or provide an assist in the league while he has been at St. James’ Park.
Many Toon fans continued to slate Bentaleb after his display against the Seagulls.
Imagine thinking Bentaleb is worth £9.5m, he’s been terrible #NUFC

If I was Matty Longstaff I wouldn’t renew my deal ?
I mean how bad does Bentaleb need to play before someone else gets a go? #NUFC pic.twitter.com/YWDSC6YgMJ— Magpie 24/7 (@Magpie_247) July 20, 2020
Also SB telling Matty Longstaff his decision on his future should be a football decision and not about money, while keeping the lad on the bench. Pretty sure that’s not gonna convince the lad to stay is it when he can’t get a game ahead of Bentaleb #nufc

The match between Newcastle and Brighton was a low-key affair as the Toon managed just one shot on target, although they had Martin Dubravka to thank for a couple of smart saves; however, it seems as if it was the performance of Bentaleb that really annoyed these Newcastle fans.
The Toon have an option to buy the Algerian in the summer, but judging by some of these replies, it is unlikely that many Toon fans will want that to happen.
