A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a post from NUFC 360, which has relayed news from the Shields Gazette relating to the proposed takeover of the Toon.
They claim that after Saudi Arabia had announced that it was blocking BeIN Sports, the Saudi Telecom Company are the frontrunners to buy out the share of the PL deal from BeIN.
This has drawn the attention of these Toon fans, who feel that it is good for the takeover.

Newcastle are currently in the middle of a proposed takeover by Amanda Staveley’s Saudi-backed consortium.
Do you think this is good for the takeover or not?
Yes
No
Though there have been concerns over piracy that have slowed the process, it is hoped that the Premier League is close to making a decision.
However, Saudi Arabia then announced that they were blocking BeIN Sports, which has caused some Toon fans to be worried, as BeIN are one of the Premier League’s biggest partners.
The takeover is off. Alarm bells need to be rung

This announcement led to a cutting response from BeIN, questioning how Saudi Arabia would be legally able to watch Premier League matches, which could be why the Saudi Telecom Company is making a move for the PL rights.
If this is true, then Saudi Arabia could stop piracy in their country and also take the PL rights from BeIN.
Saudi Arabia had announced a major crackdown on piracy, so it makes sense that they would be trying to obtain the PL rights legally.
Newcastle fans will no doubt hope that this is the final part of this saga that started months ago and that the Premier League is moving closer to finally accepting this takeover.
