A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to a post from NUFC360, which includes a link to a Daily Mirror article about the proposed takeover of the Toon.
It claims that the Premier League is set to stand by BeIN Sports and that Amanda Staveley’s Saudi-backed bid to take control of Newcastle has now stalled, with the Premier League now unlikely to pass this takeover, leaving the Toon to prepare for next season under Mike Ashley.
This has drawn the attention of these Newcastle fans, who are fearing the worst.
Do you trust this report?
No, seems like pure guesswork
Yes, it doesn't look good
Funny how some of our fans don’t believe the news when they don’t like it

For a long time I thought it would go through, but I really do think the banning of BeIN last week was the proverbial straw. how can the PL possibly pass it when the Saudi‘s have been guilty of pirating and then stop themselves from legally watching sport for 2 years? ?????

I am done if this is true. Cancel my Sky and not paying them anymore money either. If it had been Man Utd, Arsenal or Liverpool it would of been done.

My confidence in the #NUFCTakeover is wading, and it’s so so disheartening.

This is certainly a negative piece.
It claims that the PL has made this decision because BeIN was permanently blocked in Saudi Arabia last week, meaning there is currently no legal way for anyone in Saudi Arabia to watch the Premier League.
Despite this, though, some Toon fans are not worried because this piece is from the Mirror.
I was actually quite worried until I saw “the mirror”

Remember the Mirror saying that the takeover would be completed by May 1st. Wouldn’t read too far into this

This does not look good for the proposed takeover.
However, this process has now been going on since April, and the deal is still with the PL, so despite this piece, the deal has not been officially rejected yet.
It is hard to know exactly what will happen, but though some Toon fans are worried about this, others still seem confident because of the source of information.
This takeover has been embroiled in controversy from the beginning as the likes of BeIN have stated that the takeover shouldn’t happen, but the PL has still not made a decision, and while that is the case, there remains hope of the deal passing.
