Are you pleased by this latest transfer?
Yes
No
Now that the club have officially announced the signing of Gillespie, this sparked a big reaction on Twitter with lots of Newcastle fans sharing their thoughts on the move.
However, there were some Newcastle fans responding to the post who assumed that this latest transfer deal means that the proposed takeover from Amanda Staveley and her Saudi-based consortium is not happening.
Seems this is official confirmation the takeover ain’t happening.

No offence Kidda, but this tells me plain & simple no takeover ?

It’s good to see the majority of these Newcastle fans are pleased to see Gillespie back at the club, however, it seems the perceived low-key nature of his signing has fans worried about the fate of the club’s proposed takeover.
