Supporters of Newcastle United have been flocking to a Twitter post from BeIN Sports’ senior football anchor Richard Keys.
On Tuesday night, Keys posted to social media with a link to a post on his blog.
In the post, Keys discussed the proposed Saudi Arabian-backed takeover of the Toon, in which he updated supporters with ‘as much information as I can share’.
Alongside the link to the post in the tweet, Keys posted the title of the piece, which was: ‘The Saudis shot themselves in the foot’.
Lots of Newcastle supporters then flocked to this to air their thoughts on what Keys had to say.

In the post on his blog, Keys expressed that he had previously expected the takeover of the Toon to go through, however, he would now be ‘surprised’ if it did.
The act which he believes the nation ‘shot themselves in the foot’ with is Saudi Arabia’s decision to ban the Premier League’s official Middle East broadcaster BeIN Sports from the country last week.

The current takeover saga surrounding the St. James’ Park club has been dragging on since Amanda Staveley’s interest, backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, first emerged in January (via Shields Gazette).
Do you believe anything that Richard Keys has to say?
No, he's just biased
Yes, he's doing his job
Of course he will say this, propoganda seeing as its his employer!!

As can be seen in what these Newcastle fans had to say, they are clearly tired of Keys commenting on the proposed takeover of the Toon.
