Supporters of Newcastle United have been flocking to comments which were made by Tottenham Hotspur loanee Danny Rose.
Rose has been with the Toon since the January transfer window, having joined on loan until the end of the season from Spurs (per BBC).
In the quotes which were posted to social media, Rose discussed the time he has already had with the club and what his future holds (per Newcastle United).
Rose said: “I’m playing for my future. I’ve settled in very well, I love the lads and members of staff, and the fans. For me, I’d love to play for Newcastle for longer than what’s on my contract.”
A link to the full set of quotes was posted alongside the tweet (per Newcastle United) and lots of fans were left wanting to air their thoughts.

Aside from neither scoring nor assisting, the level of performances which Rose has delivered has been somewhat uninspiring, too.
The Englishman has been the 10th-worst performer for Steve Bruce’s outfit in the league this season having earned a 6.52/10 average rating (per WhoScored).

As can be seen in the responses from Newcastle fans, there did not seem to be a general consensus over whether he would make a good permanent signing or not.
