Supporters of Newcastle United have been flocking to a Twitter post from BeIN Sports which provided the ‘latest’ on the situation with the proposed takeover of the club.
In the video posted to the media channel’s Twitter account on Sunday evening, Richard Keys discussed the latest on the Saudi Arabian-backed takeover (per BeIN Sports).
Keys stated: “The Premier League know they cannot allow the deal to go through.”
He went on to explain: “I think it’s stalled for the immediate future, the one that has been on the table. There might be other negotiations taking place at the moment that could see a decision taken about a new owner at Newcastle.”
When asked if there will be a takeover announcement this week, Keys revealed: “No. Well, there might be, but it won’t be the Saudis.”
Lots of Newcastle fans then flocked to this to air their thoughts about what Keys had to say.

This is really getting to Keysie, he may need some medical treatment if the Saudis get the nod from the PL.

There he goes again trying to wind us fans up again.

Seemingly, Newcastle fans were frustrated with what Keys had to say on the takeover of the club as they continued to air their annoyance at the footage.
Do you trust what Richard Keys has to say?
No, he talks nonsense
Yes, he speaks the truth
He’s just embarrassing himself on live TV. The guy knows nothing, like the rest of us! But for some reason, takes great pleasure in mention Newcastle on a regular occurrence and this takeover!

Sounds like a defeated man to me. https://t.co/T0609clcyY

Embarrassing.

Wow how can a company let this old fool babble on with a Vendetta against a club? Disgrace from Bein sports. The Saudis will take over and Bein will be blown away when the new bids for TV rights come out.

This is not the first time that the sports presenter has cast doubt over the takeover of the club, with him having stated that he would be ‘surprised’ if the takeover went through in a blog post last week (per Richard Keys).
That belief was in relation to the fact that Saudi Arabia had banned the Premier League’s official Middle East broadcaster BeIN Sports from their country (per BBC).
How obsessed can one man be.

Cashly can’t accept a bid from another bidder until the EPL reject it officially! a deposit has been paid and that deposit stops any other bids. It wouldn’t be legally possible to have 2 bids going through EPL at same time To be cleared haha he’s crazy

As can be seen in these responses from Newcastle fans, they were clearly infuriated with the latest Keys had to say on the takeover of the Toon.
