Nice easy one to start off with, which club did Newcastle United sign Shearer from in 1996?

Lazaro came on as a substitute in the 62nd minute and scored his first Premier League goal for Newcastle and also hit the bar with a stunning strike.

The 24-year-old is on loan from Inter Milan until the end of the season and he has made nine appearances for the Toon in all competitions in which he has scored two goals.

His performance and goal against Bournemouth led to many Newcastle fans praising him.

Do you want Lazaro to sign permanently?

Yes, I like what I see

No, get rid

No, get rid

Lazaro took his goal very well as he picked up a good pass from Jonjo Shelvey steadied himself before firing a shot beyond Aaron Ramsdale.

The Austrian international was making his fourth Newcastle appearance since the restart but this time he was given 28 minutes on the pitch more than his other three appearances combined.

He could have scored another but saw his thunderous effort bounce down off the bar and fall to Isaac Hayden who fired wide with the goal gaping.

However, this was a good performance from Lazaro earning himself a 7.57 rating from WhoScored and an 8/10 rating from The Chronicle.

This also led to these Newcastle fans continuing to praise him.

The Toon face West Ham United next and it will be interesting to see if Lazaro has done enough to start that match.

There is also an option to buy included in Lazaro’s contract for £20m, so, will the Toon turn his loan into a permanent transfer?

If he keeps scoring goals and playing like that, then we see no reason why they shouldn’t.
