Newcastle United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest news concerning on-loan man Valentino Lazaro.
This comes after Newcastle-focused Twitter account @NUFC360 shared a post on their page relaying news originally shared by Sky Italia claiming that the new ownership at Newcastle are ‘reluctant’ to sign Lazaro on a permanent basis and will look to sign him on loan again for next season instead.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Newcastle fans, who were quick to share their thoughts on this latest news.
Here’s a sample of Newcastle fans responding to the post:
The new ownership of #nufc are reluctant to permanently sign Valentino Lazaro and will instead look to sign him on loan again for next season. [Sky Italia]

That’s fair Bruce hasn’t gave him enough time I would say that’s they best thing to do

The Austrian signed to Newcastle on loan from Inter in the previous January transfer window for a fee of £1.35 million, according to Transfermarkt.
Why would he want to come back? Bruce never starts him and you can clearly see his qualities!

Since then, Lazaro has gone on to make 13 appearances for Steve Bruce’s side across all competitions, in which he has managed to grab two goals for himself.
Taking him on load is the best option for now very good player on the wings just not at RB

What would you do with Lazaro?
Sign him permanently
Get him on another loan for next season
Get rid
However, Lazaro’s performances in the 11 Premier League appearances he has made for Newcastle so far this season have earned him a season rating of 6.21/10, making him Newcastle’s second-lowest-rated player for this campaign (per WhoScored).
I’d take him on loan for another season

Now that this news on Lazaro has been doing the rounds on Twitter, it quickly grabbed the attention of a lot of Newcastle fans, who were quick to share their thoughts on the player and his future at St. James’ Park.
However, there were some Newcastle fans responding to the post who had decided to focus on the point that this decision on Lazaro was reportedly being made by the club’s ‘new ownership’.
New ownership? The Saudis? Or the Americans? Or a new one?

Sky Italy saying new ownership? what?
— Dummaldini? (@Dummaldini) July 17, 2020
What new ownership? Do you know something nobody else does?

It would seem strange that the potential new owners of Newcastle would be making decisions on Lazaro’s future at the club, since there has been no official announcement on the club’s proposed takeover. With that in mind, these fans’ reactions appear rather justified, though it remains to be seen whether this situation will have any bearing on Lazaro’s future at the club.
