Newcastle United news Twitter account @ChronicleNUFC caught the attention of some Toon fans recently after they posted a tweet that included a link to an article from ChronicleLive which shares some comments from Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp ahead of his side’s final game of the 2019/20 Premier League season against the Toon on Sunday.
Liverpool successfully ended a 30-year English top-flight title drought this season as they became the 2019/20 Premier League champions. As per the BBC, the Reds celebrated their title win by lifting the Premier League trophy following Wednesday’s clash with Chelsea, which they won 5-3.
ChronicleLive recently published an article which quotes Liverpool boss Klopp as saying that the Reds’ clash with Newcastle on Sunday “will be difficult” for his team and after it was shared on Twitter by @ChronicleNUFC, plenty of Toon supporters replied to the post to share their thoughts on the Liverpool manager’s comments.

A lot of the Newcastle United supporters who replied to this tweet disagreed with Klopp’s claim that the Reds’ season finale versus the Toon “will be difficult” for the Premier League champions.
As in difficult to contain his laughter after they put 10 past us? Hopefully a fitting way to see off this disastrous MA era of rank mediocrity, evasiveness and lies

Heading into Sunday’s fixture, Liverpool sit 52 points ahead of the Toon on the Premier League table. Newcastle are without a win in five league fixtures heading into their final game of the season and in addition to that, the Toon have not been particularly successful against the Reds in their most recent meetings, having not beaten them since Klopp’s first clash with Newcastle back in December 2015.
With that in mind, it may be understandable why these Toon fans were not in agreement with Klopp’s claim that Sunday’s fixture “will be difficult” for Liverpool.
