A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a post from Allan Saint-Maximin after the Toon ended their season with a 3-1 defeat at home to Liverpool.
The Frenchman’s post thanked Newcastle for the love he has received throughout the season and contained four images; one of him at the end of a match, another of him with some fans, one of him scoring his winner against Oxford United in the FA Cup and another of a helicopter – in a cheeky reference to that Oxford match.
This post from the 23-year-old attracted plenty of Toon fans, who either expressed their love for Saint-Maximin or wished him well at his next club – with many fearing his post looked like a goodbye message.
Can you see Saint-Maximin leaving Newcastle in this transfer window?

Saint-Maximin ended the season as the Toon’s highest-rated player with a superb average rating of 7.29/10 (via WhoScored) from his 26 Premier League games for the club.
Overall, Saint-Maximin scored four goals and provided seven assists in all competitions (as per Transfermarkt).
His post continued to draw attention from many Toon fans.

The 23-year-old joined Newcastle last summer for £16.5m and has proven to be a good buy for the Toon, adding flair to a side who only managed 38 goals in the league during the 2019/20 season.
The likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked, so Newcastle will have to hope that they can hold onto their Frenchman.
This was a solid debut season from Saint-Maximin, and he will be hoping that he can build on it when the Premier League gets going again in September.
