A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to Allan Saint-Maximin’s post after he was involved in Newcastle United’s 3-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
The Frenchman claimed the Toon did their best and that it was frustrating that they were unable to beat Spurs, and his post attracted the attention of a lot of Toon fans who were begging him not to leave St. James’ Park.
Brilliant tonight Allan. Promise me you’ll never leave ????

Saint-Maximin turned in another good display as he earned an 8.55 match rating for his performance against Tottenham and can perhaps feel hard done by to end up on the losing side.
Was Saint-Maximin Newcastle's best player again?
Yes, good performance
No, he could be better
Newcastle actually had 22 shots and six shots on target against Spurs but conceded three goals to slip to their third defeat in a row.
This led to some Newcastle fans telling Saint-Maximin to leave.
Get yourself away at the end of the season mate.
Dont waste your career here.
Love you but you deserve better.

You deserve better, we don’t blame you for leaving if the takeover fails.

Since the restart Saint-Maximin has been in superb form in the league for Newcastle earning ratings of 8.27, 8.16, 8.6 and 8.55.
He has had two less impressive games, but overall, he has been very good.
However, what could be worrying for the Toon is that Steve Bruce confirmed that the 23-year-old injured his calf in the match though the extent of this injury is unknown.
Saint-Maxmin signed for £16.5m last summer from Nice, and Bruce described him as ‘the best pound-for-pound signing‘ in the league, and in all competitions, he has scored four goals and provided seven assists in his first season for the Toon.
Newcastle will hope that the 23-year-old’s injury is not bad, and he is ready for the final two games as the Toon look to try and stop this run of four matches without a win.
