Julien Laurens has been speaking on ESPN FC about Mason Greenwood and the similarities between him and Kylian Mbappe.
Laurens spent a little bit of time on the 18-year-old and also touched on the comparisons between him and the Frenchman.
This is what Laurens had to say on Greenwood and Mbappe:
“I think the talent is there, I can see a lot of similarities from the two of them when they were 18.
“You could see a lot of similarities, certainly in the drive and the ambition; a different profile of player, different way of playing as well, but in terms of drive and ambition and the discipline and the seriousness all of that he [Greenwood] clearly has it.
“You saw the way he came back from the break where clearly he had put muscle on; he clearly worked a lot physically to be ready for when football came back, which is a great sign of someone who knows exactly what he wants.”
It seems as if Laurens can see similarities between Greenwood and Mbappe, particularly in their mental attributes and determination to succeed.

The 21-year-old Frenchman is currently valued at £162m by Transfermarkt and has scored an incredible 117 goals for both PSG and Monaco.
So, Greenwood has a long way to go before he can reach those levels as he is currently valued at £26.10m and has scored 17 club career goals for Manchester United’s first team.
However, it is good to see that Laurens thinks that he has the same drive as Mbappe, which can only bode well for the future.
The 18-year-old has scored ten league goals this season so far, and he will be looking to build on that next season in the Premier League.
