2018/19 season quiz: How many points did Jurgen Klopp's side accumulate in the Premier League?

On the subject of some potential player departures from the club this summer, Squires named Larouci as one player that could be leaving the club in the current transfer window.

He said: “He wants first-team opportunities and they’re not going to come at Liverpool. He’s only got a year on his contract, so rather than letting him go for free, he’ll move on this summer. They say clubs linked with him are Leeds United and Brentford, so he could be one Liverpool welcome back to Anfield in the Premier League as an opposing player next season.”

The 19-year-old, who is currently valued at £1.62 million according to Transfermarkt, has worked his way through the youth system at Liverpool since arriving at the club back in 2017 (per Transfermarkt).

Larouci made 37 appearances for the Liverpool U18 squad before then making 14 appearances for their U23 squad (per Transfermarkt).

This season saw the left-back make two appearances for the Liverpool first-team with both of them coming in the FA Cup.

TIF Thoughts…

With Larouci only making two appearances for Klopp’s side this season, it may be a smart decision for the teenage defender to move to another club where he can get more playing time and develop his career elsewhere.
