2018/19 season quiz: How many points did Jurgen Klopp's side accumulate in the Premier League?

On the topic of the summer transfer window, Rabinowitz shared his thoughts on Liverpool’s plans.

He said: “At some point, they are going to have to freshen up and strengthen but I think there comes a point where you can almost just sit back and say, ‘we’ve done exactly what you would want us to achieve’, having not gone out and spent loads.

“That doesn’t mean that you never need to strengthen, but I do think the strategy which has got us to this point between [Jurgen] Klopp, [Michael] Edwards [and] FSG has enough credit in the bank. If they decide that because of the circumstances, they’re not going to do loads this summer, or anything, I don’t think the squad is in urgent need of addressing – there’s obviously a few positions; backup left-back, probably; people still want strengthening and more depth in the front three, but I’m not particularly worried about it.

“I think I’ve reached a point now where I’m fairly relaxed that the plan as Klopp has spoken about has certainly worked well to get to this point.”

Will Liverpool make any big incoming transfers this summer?

Liverpool’s last incoming transfer saw them sign Takumi Minamino from RB Salzburg back in the previous winter transfer window for a fee of £7.65 million.

TIF Thoughts…

With Jurgen Klopp’s side having already won the Premier League title even before the season has ended, the Reds may not need to make any big changes to their squad given how well their current side has performed in the league this season.

However, with the Reds having crashed out of the FA Cup and Champions League earlier in the season, this may push them to add to their squad and add more options for rotating players to play in these competitions next season.
