2018/19 season quiz: How many points did Jurgen Klopp's side accumulate in the Premier League?

On the topic of any potential signings from the newly-crowned Premier League champions this summer, Pearce shared this latest update.

He said: “I still think there will be a couple of new additions, but it’s more going to be in terms of adding depth, I think, rather than going out and making headline signings. We know that Timo Werner was a long-term target that ultimately, Liverpool decided that for financial reasons they just couldn’t commit that kind of money to someone who would have been a backup. I think it’s just going to be a case of addressing areas of the squad where he [Jurgen Klopp] just needs another option.”

TIF Thoughts…

With Liverpool currently on 89 points at the top of the Premier League table having already won the title, the Reds may not necessarily need to make any big changes to their side by bringing in some new players.

Also, given the hefty financial implications that the current global pandemic has had on the footballing world, this may also be a reason why Liverpool may not be likely to splash a large amount of money out on new players this summer.
