Football Insider has reported that Leicester City, along with Brighton and Hove Albion and Fulham, are ‘trying to hijack’ Club Brugge’s deal to sign alleged former Leeds United target and current Queens Park Rangers winger Bright Osayi-Samuel.

Osayi-Samuel has been enjoying a positive campaign with the R’s this term. He has scored five goals and provided eight assists for the club in the Championship this season, making him the club’s joint-highest assist provider in the league for the 2019/20 campaign.

We will look at Marcelo Bielsa to kick off this quiz on the Championship's managers, which of these national teams has the Leeds United boss managed?

Considering how well he has performed for the Hoops this year, it may not come as a big surprise that the winger has reportedly been attracting plenty of interest from other clubs.

West London Sport recently reported that QPR ‘have agreed to sell’ Osayi-Samuel, who is currently valued at £1.53m according to Transfermarkt, to Belgian side Club Brugge for £4.7m.

However, Football Insider has since claimed that multiple English clubs are ‘trying to hijack’ this deal. This report states that while newly-crowned Championship winners Leeds United have ‘pulled out of the race’ to sign Osayi-Samuel, other English clubs, including Leicester City, are still interested in securing the 22-year-old’s signature.

Would Osayi-Samuel be a good signing for Leicester City?

TIF Thoughts…

Osayi-Samuel has played in a variety of positions throughout his career, including both the left and right-wing positions. Leicester City’s Demarai Gray has also displayed the ability to play on both wings throughout his career and he has been linked with a move away from the Foxes recently, with Tottenham Hotspur allegedly showing interest in the 24-year-old.

If Gray does leave the King Power Stadium this summer, then Leicester may have Osayi-Samuel lined up as a direct replacement following his positive campaign for QPR, and with that in mind, it may be understandable why they are allegedly ‘trying to hijack’ Brugge’s deal to sign the winger.
