Hummel’s chief brand officer, Filip Trulsson, has aired his delight over the links that the sportswear brand has with Merseyside outfit Everton.

In May, the club announced that the Toffees had partnered with the Danish brand in a club-record kit deal which will run for three years (per Everton).

Since then, the club has announced the new home shirts and the home goalkeeper kit for next season, which are manufactured by Hummel and sponsored by Cazoo (per Everton).

In the latest episode of Royal Blue: The Everton FC Podcast, the Liverpool Echo’s Adam Jones spoke to Trulsson about the links between the brand and the club, with Trulsson offering some insight into the general response from Everton fans.

To start this quiz on Richarlison with an easy one, how much did the Toffees pay to secure the Brazilian's services including potential future fees?

He said: “Yeah, I think we’ve been delighted by the response and the open-mindedness.

“I think it’s always an interesting time when you’re announced as the new partner, as I said, kits are obviously always triggering an emotional reaction, but these days, also the brand.

“I haven’t followed all of it, but based on the reports on what I’ve seen, we’ve been really excited about the engagement and the open-mindedness and it seems that fans have registered that Everton is our global flagship club.

“It’s been really, really nice. Obviously also adding a little bit to the challenge and the opportunity here to have to demonstrate that we understand the club and that we want to engage with fans and supporters.”
