In this 2019/20 season quiz, do you remember who scored Villa's first PL goal of the season?

On the subject of Grealish, who has been linked with a move away from Villa this summer, Kendrick shared his thoughts on the matter.

He said: “The other massive factor in this is: Aston Villa don’t need to sell Jack Grealish for money now. I think the prize money has gone up and the broadcasting money has gone up – exactly what that is, I’m not sure – but I think they’re going to bank £150 million by being in the Premier League for another year. If they had been relegated, that would have tested the nerve a little bit more.”

Grealish was Villa’s highest-rated player for the 2019/20 season in which he managed to register eight goals and provide six assists for his teammates in the Premier League, earning himself a season rating of 7.23/10 (per WhoScored).

Overall, Grealish has made a total of 187 appearances for Villa’s senior side, in which he has managed to score 25 goals and provide 31 assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).

TIF Thoughts…

Given how impressive Grealish has been for Villa in the top flight this season, it would be understandable that Villa would want to do all they can to keep hold of their star man this summer – especially since they have another Premier League campaign facing them after the summer break, having managed to avoid relegation by the skin of their teeth this year.
