Joseph Masi, Matt Wilson and Luke Hatfield discussed all the latest goings-on with West Bromwich Albion on the latest edition of The Express and Star’s Baggies Broadcast podcast and one of the topics of discussion that came up during the show was West Brom manager Slaven Bilic and his future.

Bilic became West Brom manager last summer and in his first season in charge at The Hawthorns, he managed to guide the club to a second-place finish in England’s second-tier, earning promotion to the Premier League for the 2020/21 season.

We will look at Marcelo Bielsa to kick off this quiz on the Championship's managers, which of these national teams has the Leeds United boss managed?

During the most recent edition of the Baggies Broadcast podcast, Masi spent some time sharing praise for Bilic, describing him as a ‘very special man’ and declaring that he is ‘immensely loyal’.

However, the West Brom reporter then went on to share some doubt over the Croatian coach’s future at The Hawthorns, saying: “My one worry with Bilic is that he’s such a European football connoisseur, that a big European club could come in for him, but if you haven’t got a good manager, then they wouldn’t have the interest, would they? If you’re going to hire good people, those good people are going to have interest, especially when they go on and do a good job for you.”

Are you worried that Slaven Bilic will be tempted to leave West Brom?

TIF Thoughts…

Considering that Bilic led Albion to a promotion in his first season in charge at the club, it may be understandable why Masi believes that the Croatian’s success at West Brom may attract interest from other clubs. Furthermore, if Bilic is a “European football connoisseur” as Masi claims, then it may be understandable why the reporter believes that the Croatian may be tempted to depart from the Hawthorns if a “big European club” do show their interest in him.

However, considering that the 51-year-old is under contract with West Brom until next summer and Masi also stated that he is an “immensely loyal” person, perhaps the Baggies won’t have too much to worry about with regard to Bilic wanting to leave before his deal at The Hawthorns expires.
