Sheffield Wednesday-focused journalist Dom Howson recently posted a tweet that included a link to an article from Yorkshire Live which discusses Owls left-back Morgan Fox.

This report from Yorkshire Live states that Fox “has alerted” selectors of the Welsh national team through his performances for the Owls in the Championship this term. The 26-year-old made six appearances for Wales’ U21 side in the past, however, he is yet to make his international debut for Wales at senior level, which this article reveals is a “big career ambition” of his.

As per Transfermarkt, Fox’s current contract is set to expire at the end of June and this report from Yorkshire Live claims that time is “rapidly running out” for the Owls to prove to the player that they can match his ambition before he becomes a free agent, with “a number of clubs” said to be monitoring his current situation according to this report.

After Howson shared this report via a tweet, plenty of Owls fans responded to this post to share their thoughts on the 26-year-old left-back and his future.

Many of the Sheffield Wednesday fans who have been responding to this post stated that they would be okay with Fox leaving the club if he decides that they can’t match his ambition.

Some Wednesday supporters acknowledged that they believe Fox has improved of late, though they still shared that they wouldn’t mind seeing him depart from Hillsborough.

Do you think that Morgan Fox deserves a call-up to the Welsh national team?

Fox has earned an average overall rating of 6.81/10 for the Owls in the Championship this term, according to WhoScored. Only six Wednesday players have earned a higher average overall rating than Fox in the league this season and with that in mind, it may be fair to say that the 26-year-old has been one of the Owls’ better performers of late and he may not struggle to find a new club should he depart from Hillsborough at the end of his current deal.
