Leeds United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest news surrounding their upcoming Championship clash with Cardiff City.
This comes after Leeds fan Jo Bedford shared a post on her Twitter page revealing the news that Andy Woolmer will be the man in charge of Leeds’ first game back in the Championship this weekend away to Cardiff.
Bedford also added a bit more information on the referee in her tweet by saying that “the former postman from Northamptonshire has been been an SG2 [Select Group 2] ref since 2016, but on the ref’s list since 2004.”
She then revealed that Woolmer’s last Leeds game came back in the 2016/17 season where Leeds beat Norwich City in the EFL Cup on penalties.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds fans who were quick to share their thoughts on this latest news and look ahead to the fixture.

It’s great to see how excited these Leeds fans are to see their team back in action this weekend.
With the club sitting at the top of the Championship table and within touching distance of securing promotion to the Premier League, it’s understandable why they would be buzzing to see their team continue the season.
The hope for these Leeds fans now would be that their team can continue where they left off and get off to a winning start in the hope to secure promotion as soon as they can during the rest of their remaining fixtures.
