A group of Leeds United fans have flocked to Adam Pope’s tweet in which he relayed the news that eight individuals from six Championship clubs have tested positive for the virus in the latest round of testing.
The EFL put out an official communication via its official website on Wednesday and confirmed that those who have tested positive will now need to self-isolate in line with the guidelines set and only those who tested negative are permitted to enter their training ground facilities.
Are you concerned by the number of positive test results?

Here is how a sample of the Elland Road faithful have responded to the update.

The Championship is due to resume this coming weekend despite the positive test results. Leeds are scheduled to reconvene their season with a trip to the Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday.
I’m worried these tests are duds. Lots of positives but no noise about players showing symptoms.

Shouldn’t be any of these if LUFC’s official feed is up to date and this is training from today pic.twitter.com/RXR73xWWX6

Statistically, the ratio of positive cases among the general population is currently 1:1800, so why are more footballers getting it?

There was a mixture in the responses from these fans with some expressing their concern regarding the number of positive cases amongst the Championship clubs. The Whites currently lead the division and are hoping to pick up where they left off and secure automatic promotion back to the Premier League for the first time since the 2003/04 season.
