Many Leeds United supporters flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by the club’s official Twitter account that includes some footage of 35-year-old Spanish playmaker Pablo Hernandez in training for the Whites ahead of this weekend’s Championship clash with Fulham

Seven points currently separate second-placed Leeds from third-placed Fulham in the Championship table and as the Whites will have just seven league games left to play in the 2019/20 Championship campaign following this weekend’s clash, it may be fair to say that a win for Leeds could put them in quite a positive position to achieve promotion to England’s top flight for the first time since being relegated back in the 2003/04 campaign

As per Yorkshire Live, Hernandez suffered an injury ahead of last weekend’s 2-0 loss to Cardiff City and the Spaniard was unable to feature in that game for the Whites. Earlier this week, Whites journalist Phil Hay provided an update on Hernandez via a tweet, in which he revealed that the 35-year-old was “doing well” ahead of this weekend’s game, and the club’s official Twitter account has now shared some footage of the playmaker in training, which they captioned with the words ‘El Mago is back in training!’.

After this footage was shared on Twitter, it caught the attention of plenty of Leeds fans and some of them replied to this tweet to share that they believe that Hernandez looks to have recovered from his injury, while another Whites fan shared praise for the Spaniard in response to this post, describing him as a “beautiful Spanish wizard”.

Some Whites fans called for the former Spain international to return to Leeds’ squad for this weekend’s clash with Fulham in response to this tweet.

Nice easy one to start. Who is this current Leeds man?

Do you think that Pablo Hernandez will be fit enough to start versus Fulham?

Hernandez has earned an average overall rating of 7.19/10 from his 28 Championship appearances this season according to WhoScored, making him the Whites’ joint-second-highest-rated player in the league this season. Only one Leeds player has scored more Championship goals than the Spaniard this term, while only one Leeds player has also made more Championship assists than the 35-year-old playmaker.

With that in mind, it may be fair to say that Hernandez has played a fairly significant role for Leeds in the Championship this season and it mightn’t come as a surprise that some Whites fans are eager to see him return to the pitch.
