Leeds United left-back Barry Douglas caught the attention of many Whites fans recently after he took to Twitter to share some footage of himself practising his shooting in training.

This footage, which Douglas captioned with the words “Decent first touch, head over the ball, then hit and hope”, shows Douglas taking a total of three shots from outside of the box during a Leeds United training session. The 30-year-old left-back sends the ball into the net with each of the three shots that he can be seen taking in this footage.

Plenty of Whites supporters have been responding to Douglas’ tweet to share their admiration for the 30-year-old’s shooting ability, with one Whites fan even replying to this post to declare that with finishing like this, Douglas “might not want to be a left-back anymore”.

Nice easy one to start. Who is this current Leeds man?

Douglas has featured in just 11 of Leeds’ 37 Championship fixtures this season and he has started just four of those games. However, that didn’t stop one Whites fan from replying to this post to share that they believe the 30-year-old should be the club’s first-choice for the left-back position.

Should Barry Douglas start for Leeds?

Douglas has failed to make a single goal contribution in any of his 11 Championship appearances so far during the 2019/20 campaign.

With the 2019/20 season currently set to restart on the weekend of 20th June, Douglas may be aiming to contribute more significantly for the Whites in their remaining nine league games. With that in mind, it may be understandable why the 30-year-old left-back has taken the opportunity to share this footage of his preparation for the resumption of the 2019/20 Championship campaign via Twitter and it mightn’t come as a surprise that plenty of Leeds fans have been reacting positively to this tweet.
