Leeds United fans on Twitter have been discussing a potential transfer deal for on-loan defender Ben White.
This comes after Leeds fan Twitter account @LUATW1919 shared a post on their page relaying news originally published in a report by Football Insider that Brighton & Hove Albion have put a £35 million price tag on White for any potential buyers this summer.
The Leeds page then asked their followers if they would take White at that price to keep him at Elland Road on a permanent basis.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds fans who were quick to have their say on the matter.
Here’s a sample of Leeds fans responding to the post:

A bargain ! Imagine his value with premiership experience, we could build a defence around him for years. Everybody said Ferdinand wasn’t worth the £18m paid for him we ended up making £12m and white is a better player at the same age.

The Englishman joined Marcelo Bielsa’s side on loan from Brighton in the previous summer transfer window. Since then, White has gone on to make 42 total appearances for Bielsa’s side across all competitions (per Transfermarkt).
Without a doubt – snap their hands off.

White has been very impressive for Leeds in the Championship this season, with his performances in his 39 league appearances earning him a season rating of 7.06/10, making him the joint fourth-highest rated player in Leeds’ squad for this campaign.
Yes without a doubt

Is £35 million a fair price for Ben White?
Yes
No
Now that the question has been put to these Leeds fans on whether or not they would be happy to see their club pay £35 million on a permanent deal for White, this sparked a big reaction on Twitter, with many Leeds fans sharing their thoughts on the matter.
However, there was one Leeds fan responding to the post who was quite hesitant about seeing the club potentially splash out £35 million on the defender.
He’s had a fantastic season with us but still untried in the premier league , so no I wouldn’t pay that

It appears that the majority of these Leeds fans would be more than okay if their club splashed out £35 million to secure White on a permanent deal.
The fact that so many Leeds fans think this just goes to show how impressed they have been with White so far this season.
However, given how impressive White has been for Leeds, it seems likely other teams could be interested in signing the defender too and could potentially provide competition for Leeds to sign him.
