A group of Leeds United supporters have been discussing a report linking their club with the Argentine centre-forward Adolfo Gaich. According to Football Insider, the Yorkshire-based side are considering making a move for the San Lorenzo player as they prepare for life back in the Premier League.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side currently sit top of the Championship and are hoping to restore their status as a top-flight club for the first time since they were relegated in 2004 when the league resumes on 20 June. Their current striking options consist of Patrick Bamford, Jean-Kevin Augustin and Tyler Roberts – so what have the fans made of the links with the 21-year-old after James Marshment relayed the news on Twitter?
A gamble but could be a good gamble. Only 21 but scored 5 in 12 yet only started in 30% of games but has been capped for the full Argentina team once but also played U20/23 internationals.
Fairly mobile and plenty of running, so could be a Bielsa type player.

It’s clear from the above responses these fans would back a move for the player if Bielsa believes he can be a good addition to the squad. Gaich has made 12 appearances in the Argentine Superliga this season, scoring five goals to date (via Transfermarkt.co.uk). He also received his first senior cap for the national team last September in a friendly versus Mexico which took place in Texas.
Would you like to see the club sign Gaich?
Yes
No
Certainly fits the mould of a Bielsa ST.

One supporter was keen to point out that in his view if the club were to land Gaich, that could spell the end of Patrick Bamford’s time at Elland Road.
That’s paddy gone then

Whilst Leeds United may well be planning for the summer already, their main focus at present will no doubt be on finishing the job and securing promotion. Bielsa’s side are currently seven points clear of Fulham in third place and will be hoping to go one better than they did last season.
