Some Celtic fans have been talking about a video involving Odsonne Edouard that recently emerged on social media.
The Twitter account of UEFA Europa League posted a video of the Frenchman scoring a goal against Copenhagen in the first leg tie of their meeting in the last-32 stage of the competition. The video had the caption ‘Cool as you like from Odsonne Edouard’ and asked fans how highly they rate the striker.
This caught the attention of many Celtic fans. They began talking negatively about the striker in a rather sarcastic tone, suggesting that there shouldn’t be much attention on him.
Delete this before European Clubs see it… leave him at Celtic for the 10, take Bayo, thanks ?

Are you confident about keeping Edouard at Parkhead?
No, he'll leave
He's staying!
He’s awful, plays in a pub league.

Not worth any investment from any team that might be looking for a striker. Bayo at celtic however is going to be world class

Edouard had been in fine goalscoring form for the Hoops this season. The Frenchman scored the most number of goals in the Premiership in the 2019/20 campaign, while he also had the highest goal contribution rate in the Scottish top flight (via WhoScored).
That goes to show the importance he carries for the club. Many more Celtic fans rushed to this tweet from the Europa League’s account, making sarcastic comments about the video.
He’s absolutely rubbish! Nothing to see here…. No point what so ever in looking at him.. ?

Wouldn’t touch him! Morelos is 10 times the player at a fraction of the price!

These Celtic fans seem very protective about the French striker. That could easily be because they don’t want Edouard to leave the club anytime soon.
He has been linked with moves to Tottenham, Arsenal and Leicester City recently, which has perhaps given fans a reason to be concerned about Edouard. All they can do now is hope that the striker stays for at least another season.
