Many Celtic fans have been fuming at Ally McCoist after a post about him caught their attention on Twitter recently.
McCoist was recently talking to TalkSport (via Daily Record) about the situation of Odsonne Edouard at Parkhead. McCoist said that while Celtic fans are demanding that Edouard stays at the club for another season, Arsenal and Leicester City would be getting a ‘top’ player in the Frenchman. He urged potential suitors to ‘get him away’ from Celtic.
These comments from McCoist were relayed on Twitter by the Daily Record. Many Celtic fans flocked to this tweet and made their anger for McCoist clear.
Oh please buy Celtics forward who terrorises us in every game, make things fair, cause we cannae handle him

Is Edouard set to leave Celtic?

Hahaha, what kind of sheer desperation is this?

Edouard was linked with a move to Leicester City back in January. Arsenal have also been linked with the Frenchman, while another Premier League side in Newcastle United are also reportedly interested in him. Elsewhere, Ligue 1 side Monaco had an approach rejected for the striker in January. The same report said that Borussia Dortmund were also monitoring Edouard.
McCoist’s comments attracted plenty of Celtic fans who were angry about what he said.
Desperate ?

These Celtic fans clearly aren’t pleased with what McCoist has said. Some of them feel that he’s saying all this so that his former club Rangers end up having a chance of beating Celtic.
Considering how Edouard has scored 27 goals in all competitions for the club this season, it appears they wouldn’t like to lose him anytime soon. Since McCoist has a well-known past with Rangers, Celtic fans were never going to react well to his supposed ulterior motives by encouraging clubs to bid for the Frenchman.
