Strachan was appointed as the Celtic manager back in June 2005 and stayed at Parkhead until 2009. Before that, he had managed the likes of Southampton and Coventry City. Following his time at Celtic, he went on to manage Middlesbrough and the Scottish national team (via Transfermarkt).

Many more Celtic fans rushed to this post. They also had high praise for Strachan and for what he did as the Celtic manager. One even said that he was not treated well while he was the manager of the Scotland national team.

Strachan did end up winning quite a few trophies at Parkhead. He won three Premiership titles as well as two League Cup titles. He also won a single Scottish Cup title with the club. Those are the only major trophies he has won in his managerial career (as per Transfermarkt).

This shows that he indeed deserves respect for whatever he won at the club, while it is good to see that Celtic fans still remember him fondly.
