Starting with an easy one: which Italian club did Nakamura join Celtic from?

This follows on from a tweet by journalist Nicolo Schira, who claimed that AC Milan and Leicester City were in direct competition for Ajer.

Schira claimed at the time that Rossoneri chief executive Ivan Gazidis was in talks with the Norwegian international, and this update implies that Milan are not giving up the chase for the Celtic man.

Ajer made 49 appearances during the 2019/20 season, including 28 in the league and he also popped up with four goals in all competitions, for the Bhoys.

TIF Thoughts…

The 22-year-old arrived at Celtic Park from IK Start for £540k in 2016 and since then, he has won eight trophies with Celtic, but it seems that his performances have drawn the attentions of Leicester and AC Milan.

The Foxes are currently third in the Premier League and are managed by his former boss Brendan Rodgers – so it could be argued that Ajer may find a move to the King Power Stadium more preferable.

Under Rodgers at Celtic, Ajer made 66 appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

Considering what he has achieved with the Bhoys, maybe Ajer thinks that it is time for a new challenge, and a move to either club would give him the chance to try a new league.

However, this is all just talk at the moment, and for now, the Norwegian international remains a Celtic man.
