Image for Wolves: Fans gush over club’s training image of Raul Jimenez

Supporters of Wolverhampton Wanderers have been gushing over an image of Raul Jimenez that was posted to social media by the Old Gold.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Molineux club relayed an image of the Mexican striker to Twitter which had been taken during training at Compton Park (per Wolves).

Alongside the image, the club also commented: ‘Been looking for someone?’ with the looking eyes emoji and a Mexican flag.

Tension had likely arisen amongst supporters due to the recent transfer links which have emerged linking the 29-year-old attacker with a move to Serie A (per Tuttosport).

According to multiple reports from Tuttosport, Juventus are keen on bringing Wolves’ striker to Italy in the next transfer window.

So much is their interest in the Mexican, Tuttosport has even touted that the Old Lady are contemplating a swap deal including Adrien Rabiot and Daniele Rugani (via Sport Witness).

Manchester United have also been touted as having an interest in the Mexican striker (per The Times).

However, following Wolves’ Twitter post which included an image from training, the Molineux faithful made it clear that they were relieved to see their 29-year-old frontman.

With Jimenez having been the second-best performing player for the Old Gold in the Premier League this season with a 7.29/10 average rating (per WhoScored), it is clear to see why supporters are so keen.

Not only has the Mexican been Wolves’ top scorer in the league, but he has also had the most shots (3.4) and made the joint-second-most key passes (1.4) per league game in Wolves’ squad on average.

These key stats are perhaps just some of the reasons why Wolves fans are so keen on their impressive frontman.
