Fans of West Ham United have been responding to a report which has emerged on a supposed swap deal for Queens Park Rangers man Eberechi Eze.
According to Claret and Hugh, a swap deal between the Hammers and QPR may be reached to see Eze arrive and Jordan Hugill go in the opposite direction permanently.
The report has emerged after Football.london recently stated that it was ‘unlikely’ that QPR would make a move to make Hugill’s season-long loan a permanent switch.
As stated by the Hammers-based news site, Claret and Hugh, this supposed swap deal would be Hugill plus cash for the Irons to secure the Championship attacker.
Claret and Hugh goes on to state that the R’s value their man at £12 million and that it would only need to be a ‘small amount of cash’ that accompanied Hugill.
Eze currently has a market value of £8.1 million but only one season remaining on his contract following the conclusion of this term (per Transfermarkt).
Hugill, on the other hand, has a current market value of £4.95 million and has two seasons left on his contract with the Hammers after this one (per Transfermarkt).
So, after the report was shared to West Ham supporters on social media (via @whufc_news), fans aired their reactions to the supposed swap deal.
QPR are unlikely to fork out £10m to sign Jordan Hugill permanently but could look to agree on a swap deal plus cash as an alternative.
West Ham are interested in midfielder Eberechi Eze who is said to be valued at £12m, and has just one year left on his deal.

This season, 23 Championship goals have been scored for QPR between the two players, with Eze contributing 12 and Hugill netting 11 (per WhoScored).
Please do this ?

Please please let it happen

While the two players have very similar goal tallies, the disparity in their abilities becomes obvious when looking at the two players’ average ratings in the Championship.
Eze is currently QPR’s best-performing player in the league with a stellar 7.45/10 average rating, meanwhile, Hugill has been QPR’s ninth-best performer with a 6.63/10.
Do you believe that there is any truth in the supposed swap deal between the Hammers and the Rs?Yes, anything is possibleNo, not going to happen |
While many West Ham fans were delighted about the transfer link, other supporters were pessimistic about the club’s chances of making the swap happen.
Seems such an easy decision/trade that you just know it won’t happen.

No chance

As can be seen in the responses from West Ham supporters, while most would love for the Irons to sign Eze from QPR, some believe that a swap deal involving Hugill is far too unlikely.
