Image for West Ham United: Fans gush over club’s image of Jarrod Bowen

Supporters of West Ham United have been gushing over an image of Jarrod Bowen that was posted to social media by the Hammers.

On Monday, the Irons shared an image of the English winger to Twitter and stated: ‘Who else is looking forward to seeing this guy back in action?’ (per West Ham).

The image of the former Hull City attacker was him in training and could potentially have been taken following Premier League clubs’ return to training following football’s suspension (per BBC).

On Wednesday last week, it was announced that contact training was set to be resumed by Premier League clubs after top-flight shareholders voted unanimously for it (per West Ham).

The English attacker, though, has been situated at the London Stadium since the January transfer window (per BBC).

To seal his arrival from the Tigers, David Moyes’ side forked out £22million on transfer deadline day and signed Bowen up on a five-and-a-half-year contract (per The Guardian).

So, following the club’s post which asked if supporters were looking forward to seeing the 23-year-old forward return to action, many gushed over Bowen.

Despite only making four Premier League appearances since his arrival in London, Bowen has been in solid form, having picked up a respectable 6.83/10 average rating (per WhoScored).

The rating, which has left the Englishman as the fifth-best performer for the Irons in the league, has also left fans keen on him.

While with his previous club, Bowen was hugely successful, having netted a whopping 54 goals and 14 assists in 131 appearances for Hull (per Transfermarkt).

The fact that over his four West Ham appearances the English winger already has the second-most shots per league game on average in the squad (2.0) may explain why the 23-year-old is so potent.

Some other West Ham supporters have not been so easily convinced by his talents, though.

As can be seen in the majority of the responses from these West Ham supporters, however, it is clear that many rate their English attacker.
