Spurs fans on Twitter have flocked to a tweet from Davinson Sanchez.
The Colombian defender posted a picture of himself and Eric Dier, which has delighted a lot of Lilywhites supporters on Twitter. Racism is at the forefront of the news at the moment, with people all over the world protesting the death of George Floyd in the United States, which has led to several football clubs, including Spurs, to tweet their support for the Black Lives Matter movement.
Sanchez’s tweet seems to be on a similar theme, as it shows that he and Dier are clearly good friends and team-mates. It seems as if the duo could well be forming a partnership at centre-back in the not too distant future, with it having been suggested that the Englishman could have a more regular role at centre-back in Mourinho’s squad when the Premier League resumes later this month.
Did you enjoy the post from Sanchez?
Yes
No
So far this season, the former Ajax man has struggled somewhat in his performances in the Premier League; having averaged a 6.74 rating across 22 appearances in the top-flight (per WhoScored). The 23-year-old defender could well be the man trusted to step up and replace Jan Vertonghen in Spurs’ side next season, with the Belgian defender expected to leave when his contract expires later this month.

It was a powerful post by Sanchez and these Spurs fans clearly loved seeing two of their players together in unison. Hopefully, for Lilywhites fans, the duo will be able to help improve on Spurs’ current clean sheet record of just four in the Premier League so far this season, when the top-flight returns later this month.
