Spurs fans on Twitter have been discussing Giovani Lo Celso after the North London club shared some of the Argentinian’s best moments for the Lilywhites.

The club’s official Twitter page posted the footage of the 24-year-old, which has subsequently attracted the attention of lots of Lilywhites supporters. Spurs originally signed the midfielder on loan from Real Betis last summer, but his performances under Jose Mourinho were enough to convince the 57-year-old that his transfer should be made a permanent one in the January transfer window.

How well do you remember Heung-Min Son's time with Spurs? - The Lilywhites signed Son from which Bundesliga side?

Although the former PSG man is yet to contribute a goal or an assist in the Premier League this season, averaging a disappointing 6.48 rating for his performances in the top-flight (per Whoscored), the majority of fans were quick to praise the midfielder in their replies to the club’s tweet.

Lo Celso’s performances in the Champions League for Spurs this season were much more impressive, however, as he averaged a 7.31 rating across his five appearances in that competition. He also netted on his first start for the club in the 4-0 away win against Red Star Belgrade, whilst also impressing in both the home and away legs against RB Leipzig, despite Spurs losing 4-0 on aggregate.

Other Spurs fans were perhaps slightly hyperbolic in their responses.

These Spurs fans clearly loved the footage of Lo Celso and are no doubt excited to see the 24-year-old back in action when the Premier League resumes later this month. Hopefully, for Spurs fans, he will be able to improve on his current rating in the top-flight in the remaining fixtures.
