Supporters of Tottenham Hotspur have been flocking to quotes made by Jose Mourinho which were relayed by Ricky Sacks on Twitter.
On Tuesday, Sacks stated that the Portuguese manager had ‘firmly insisted’ that Harry Kane would not be leaving the club in the summer.
Sacks then went on to share some quotes which were made by Spurs’ 57-year-old manager that had initially been published by Football.london.
He said: “What the club can do? The club doesn’t need to do anything.
“The club just need to say: ‘Harry Kane is ours, Harry Kane has a long term contract, Harry Kane is not for sale, Harry Kane is Tottenham, Harry Kane is staying.'”
Sacks’ tweet only relayed the section of the quotes in single quotation marks, which had lots of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium faithful talking.
If his ambition is to win trophies he’ll go, unless we’re about to spend big this summer which never really happens. Chelsea already making a statement with their signings and with Liverpool man city out of reach can’t see us challenging next season

#Levy better start investing in the squad and players Jose actually wants so he can achieve his ambitions of winning things with us RATHER than being tempted to move elsewhere then hadn’t he! #COYS #THFC

The 26-year-old frontman currently has four years remaining on his contract with the club and a market value of a whopping £108m, according to Transfermarkt.
But if he wants to go he will go. Sadly Player power always wins.

Doubt anyone can afford him end of this season anyway, next season however is sadly a different matter if we don’t win anything again. ?

Over 21 Premier League appearances this season, Kane has been the second-best performing player for Spurs, with a strong 7.26/10 average rating (per WhoScored).
In earning the rating, the Englishman has netted 11 goals and bagged two assists in the league. However, many supporters remained pessimistic about the striker prolonging his future in north London, which could be down to the fact that Daniel Levy decided to sell Gareth Bale in the past, despite stating that he won’t be leaving White Hart Lane.
Will Tottenham be able to keep hold of Harry Kane in the next transfer window?Yes, I think he'll stayNo, I think he'll go |
So he’s definitely going then?

That means he is leaving . Great News . Mourinho is working the media with Levy , to bump up his sale price .
This news management bores me and ordinary Spurs fans.
What we want to hear of are Chelsea competing …big name signatures. To show that we have become a BUYING CLUB.

So he is off then

This is the first sign that says we are selling him

Other Spurs supporters were a little more positive, though.
That’s my José. Kane is Tottenham material and nothing can stop him from leaving. He’s never for sale

However, as can be seen in most of the responses from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium faithful, they did not seem to be reassured by what the Portuguese manager had to say.
