The latest video on Gold’s YouTube channel had the journalist talking about many things involving the north London club, including Harry Kane, as he issued a pretty positive verdict about the English striker.

How well do you remember Heung-Min Son's time with Spurs? - The Lilywhites signed Son from which Bundesliga side?

Kane started against Manchester United and then also started against West Ham more recently. Although he didn’t score against the Red Devils, the striker did find the back of the net in the second half against the Hammers (via Transfermarkt).

While talking about Kane, Gold said that the striker was looking good in the West Ham game. He said: “He’s getting sharper – you can see it. He’s starting to get his eye in. And then, bang. At the end, [Heung-min] Son puts him through. And weirdly, despite everything else that he [did] in the previous 90 minutes of the first game and 82 minutes in this one – so 172 minutes of football – I still expected him to score, and I think that speaks volumes about Kane.”

Can Kane still win the PL Golden Boot this season?

Yes, he can!

Yes, he can!

No chance at all

No chance at all

Gold also feels Kane would be much ‘sharper’ in Spurs’ next game against Sheffield United: “He was knackered. He’s played two 90 minutes’ worth of football, which is great for him. And you’d think against Sheffield United, you’ll see a sharper player; a player with two full games in his legs, and also the belief that he can score again.”

So Gold is clearly pleased about Kane coming back to goalscoring ways again and feels that he is slowly got into his rhythm. So in a way, the Englishman could be slowly coming back to his best.

TIF Thoughts…

With the goal against West Ham, Kane has now scored 18 times in all competitions for the Lilywhites this season. He has picked up two assists on the way too. In the Premier League, he now has 12 goals to his name (via Transfermarkt).

So despite having missed 14 games due to an injury earlier in the campaign, he still has a decent goalscoring record. As per FBRef, Kane has scored 0.55 goals per 90 minutes this season and that isn’t a bad record at all. The fact that he’s overperformed on his XG once again this season shows that he’s still a very good finisher.

Kane is currently seven league goals behind top scorer Jamie Vardy. So Spurs fans can only hope that he keeps scoring in the remaining games and somehow comes closer to being the top scorer in the Premier League this season.
